I am a senior at The University of Tennessee studying computer science. My interests are in mathematics, software and web security, and how culture impacts cybersecurity. Currently, I am helping Anuj Gautam with research related to studying how people across different cultures and countries create passwords. As an Egyptian, I am interested to see how different people groups approach creating passwords and the different ideas of what a strong password is. My hope is to one day be able to use the unique cultural perspective I have to influence cybersecurity practices on a global scale, and to ensure all types of people groups are able to develop and maintain good cybersecurity habits.
